Lily Gladstone, the initial Native American woman to receive an Oscar nod, is set to grace this year's Cannes Film Festival anew as a member of the nine-person main jury, as confirmed by organizers on Monday.

Gladstone clinched her Academy Award nomination and secured a Golden Globe for her role in the Martin Scorsese feature "Killers of the Flower Moon," which premiered at Cannes last May.

Greta Gerwig, renowned for the blockbuster "Barbie," was previously announced as the jury president.

Gerwig and Gladstone will be accompanied by Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki, recognized for her Golden Globe and Oscar nods for the 2018 film "Capernaum," and Turkish scriptwriter Ebru Ceylan, who co-penned the Palme d'Or winner "Winter Sleep" in 2014.

French actors Omar Sy, recently prominent in "Lupin," and Eva Green, known for her roles in both Hollywood productions like "Casino Royale" and avant-garde films such as "Proxima," also fill the panel.

Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona, another Oscar contender for "Society of the Snow," Italian performer Pierfrancesco Favino, notable for "World War Z," and Japanese filmmaker and 2018 Palme d'Or recipient Hirokazu Kore-eda complete the ensemble.

The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is slated for May 14-25.

Currently, twenty-two films are vying for the top accolade, with contributions from directors like Francis Ford Coppola, David Cronenberg, and Yorgos Lanthimos.
