The Tigresses struggled to break free from their batting slump, managing only 101 runs for the loss of eight wickets while pursuing a target of 146.

Joty's innings, a brisk 51 off 48 deliveries embellished with five boundaries and a maximum, offered a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak batting display where just two other players reached double digits.

Opting to bat first, India posted a total of 145 for seven, propelled by contributions from Yastika Bhatia, who scored 26 off 29 balls, Shafali Verma with a quickfire 31 off 22 balls, and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's 30 off 22 deliveries. Leg-spinner Rabeya Khan shone for Bangladesh, claiming three wickets for 23 runs.

India's pace duo of Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar accounted for five wickets together, conceding 18 and 25 runs respectively, as they dismantled the hosts' batting lineup, preventing them from ever gaining momentum in the chase.
