In Peru's capital last October, a duo of "alien mummies" appeared at the airport mysteriously.
A scientific analysis disclosed on Friday discredits their extraterrestrial origins. The diminutive specimens, initially enigmatic, were declared humanoid dolls by experts during a press conference in Lima.
These dolls are thought to be crafted from a combination of human and animal components. A distinct three-fingered hand, assumed to be from the Nazca region in Peru, underwent scrutiny. Experts conclusively dismissed any association with alien life.
"They aren't beings from outer space. They're puppets assembled from animal bones found on Earth, bonded using contemporary synthetic adhesive," affirmed Flavio Estrada, an archaeologist associated with Peru's Institute for Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
"It's an entirely fabricated narrative," he emphasized.
Discovered within the Lima airport offices of courier DHL, the two sculptures arrived neatly packed in a cardboard box. Crafted to resemble mummified figures adorned in customary Andean clothing, certain media sources later entertained speculations of potential extraterrestrial roots.
In September last year, a Mexican congressional hearing showcased two petite mummified forms, characterized by elongated heads and three-fingered hands. This spectacle captured extensive media attention. Jaime Maussan, a Mexican journalist and UFO aficionado, asserted that these bodies, approximately 1,000 years old, were unearthed in Peru in 2017 and had no affiliation with any recognized species.
However, subsequent scrutiny by most specialists discredited them as a hoax, likely comprising manipulated ancient human mummies blended with animal components, unequivocally originating from our planet.
During Friday's press conference in Lima, orchestrated by Peru's culture ministry, specialists refrained from asserting any connection between the dolls discovered at the DHL office and the bodies showcased in Mexico. Emphatically, they emphasized that the specimens in Mexico were also devoid of extraterrestrial origins.
