Just before the announcement of the schedule of the 12th National Election, the political parties are in dialogue with the Election Commission.
The first phase of dialogue with 22 political parties was scheduled to begin at 10:30 am on Saturday. However, representatives of 13 political
parties including Awami League, Gano Front, Trinamool BNP have participated in it. LDP, BJP and Kalyan Party said they will not participate
in this dialogue. Besides, 3 other political parties have not decided.
Meanwhile, the EC is scheduled to hold a dialogue with 2 representatives each of BNP, Jatiya Party and other 22 political parties at 3 pm.
However, like-minded political parties including BNP rejected this dialogue.
Earlier on Wednesday EC Public Relations Director. An invitation signed by Shariful Alam was sent to 44 registered political parties.
In the letter sent to the parties, it is said that a discussion meeting has been organized on November 4 on the overall issues including
the progress of preparations for the 12th National Assembly elections.
The discussion program will be held in the conference room of the election building.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal will preside over the meeting. Election commissioners will be present in that meeting.
The letter also states that the commission has requested the honorable president and general secretary of your party or 2 (two) suitable
representatives nominated by you to participate in the meeting called by the election commission.
EC officials said that out of 44 registered parties, 22 parties including Bangladesh Awami League have been given letters to sit for
discussion at 10 am and 22 parties including BNP at 3 pm.
Parties invited in the morning: Bangladesh Awami League, Islami Oikyajot, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Trinamool BNP, National
Democratic Movement (NDM), Bangladesh Congress, Bangladesh National Awami Party, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), Communist Party of Bangladesh,
Bangladesh Muslim League, National People's Party (NPP), Jamiat Ulamoy Islam Bangladesh, Gano Forum, Demokrati Party,
Islamic Front Bangladesh, Bangladesh Welfare Party, Bangladesh Supreme Party, Khilafat Majlis, Bangladesh Nationalist Front
(BNF), Gano Front and Insaniat Biplab Bangladesh.
Parties invited in the afternoon: BNP, Jatiya Party (JP), Bangladesh Samyavadi Dal, Bangladesh Tarikat Federation, Krishak
Sramik Janata League, Bangladesh Workers Party, Alternative Bangladesh, Jatiya Party (Japa), Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSAD),
